Colonial Women’s Textiles and Styles
Friday August 25th at Gordon-Roberts House
Ever wonder exactly how women dressed in the mid to late 18th century? And why those clothes were designed that way? And how they were made? Our August tea at Gordon Roberts House will be your chance to meet Kateri Fikar and learn those answers!
Kateri is a historical seamstress who has studied clothing of the 18th century for over 27 years. Growing up participating in living history with her family, Kateri started sewing for friends and family. Now she works with museums, historic sites, and education programs to supply and teach about what people wore during our nation’s founding.
This enjoyable program, sweetened by specialty teas and the culinary stylings of local star chef Kaylee Wright.
