The Historical Society’s grand 1867 Second Empire styled mansion has never shined better for visitors interested in Western Maryland history. Accurately renovated in the style of the Gilded Age and furnished with treasures donated by our community, Gordon Roberts tours are “time well spent” exploring lifestyles of the prominent Cumberland families of Josiah Gordon and Milnor Roberts Jr, the only two owners of the home before it was acquired by ACHS In 1955.
